A Note from the Interim Director

From this month’s E-Newsletter:

As students begin returning to the OU campus, the museum staff is hard at work preparing an exciting semester for you.

This month, the museum opens the 101st Annual School of Art & Art History Student Exhibition with a free, public opening reception Thursday, Jan. 22 at 7 p.m. Chad Alligood, curator at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, serves as the exhibition’s guest juror and speaker for the evening. He will present a lecture at 6 p.m. the night of the opening – we hope you won’t miss it!

This month also marks the return of favorite weekly and monthly programs, such as Tuesday Noon Concerts and Art After Noon, as well as Art Adventures for 3-to-5-year-olds and their parents. This month also features our bi-monthly program, Family Day, on Sunday, Jan. 25.

Finally, Toast to the Arts, the museum’s annual fundraiser, is scheduled Friday, Jan. 30, 7-9 p.m. From exquisite wine tastings to appetizers and sweet dessert samplings, this evening promises to be the best yet. Please do consider joining us for a wonderful evening – and don’t forget to RSVP!
