Looking for the answer to Art Abstracts?? It’s Birger Sandzén’s, In the Painted Desert, Arizona.
Sandzén served as Jacobson’s mentor when the younger artist studied at Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kansas. Known primarily for his landscapes, Sandzén admired modern French painters, including Paul Cézanne.
Not only is this work currently on display in the exhibition, A World Unconquered: Art of Oscar Brusse Jacobson, it is also the topic of tomorrow’s Art After Noon!
Join us tomorrow at 12:30 p.m. Get acquainted with art acquired by Jacobson for the museum’s permanent collection with a 30-minute discussion. Bring your lunch to eat while you listen–dessert and drinks will be provided!
